Killarney Victories & Carlow Prep
This weekend we stood on the ditches to support my Navigator Kieran O’Donoghue whilst he competed in his own Civic in the Killarney International Juniors. He was on top pace from the word go leading the Juniors by nearly 30 seconds going into the first service. He continued to push hard for the rest of the day to win by 38 seconds from Shane McCarthy.
It was great to see Kieran taking the victory in a such a competitive Junior category and in his home event. Congratulations!

Meanwhile we have made many changes to our own Civic……
First of which being changing to a new Quaife Sequential 5 speed gearbox with a 4.5 final drive as we have been stuck for top speed this year with the previous final drive we were running. Also we have upgraded to bigger ‘DriveShaft Shop’ shafts which hopefully will eliminate braking shafts during a stage.

We have also upgraded our Rear brakes to Brembo’s which hopefully will get the car to stop a bit easier. The kit is from DMRR and is an impressive, ultra lightweight set up.

We are very happy with the changes we have made to the EG, all thats left to do now is load her up and head for Carlow.
See you all on the Stages.
