Start as you mean to go on…

After missing out on the first round on the Triton National Championship in Mayo, Gary was keen to get points on the board in Kerry.

Having used Midlands Rally as a shakedown, it was all system go from SS1 in Kerry.

Running 1st on the road in the junior’s, McNamee set the pace from the first stage, 16.7 seconds quicker than 2nd place Seanie Mcgrath with Mark Murphy a further 2.1 seconds behind. SS1 also saw McNamee being fastest front wheel drive in the overall rally. Mcnamee continued to lead the juniors into 1st service. With only one stage remaining after that and a comfortable 47 second lead it was a drive to the finish that was needed.

Through the last stage and over the finish line, Gary and Kieran were delighted to take the Junior win at the Circuit of Kerry and the Triton Showers drive of the day award also.
